[附]Richard R. Wright教授简历
Dr. Richard Wright holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Southern California and earned a Juris Doctorate from Golden Gate University in San Francisco. Immediately after passing the California Bar, Dr. Wright was appointed to the position of California State Inheritance Tax Referee for San Francisco by the California Secretary of State.
While State Inheritance Tax Referee, Dr. Wright concurrently led the law firm of Trans International Consultants from its beginnings in 1980. Trans International Consultants specialise in the introduction of new products into foreign markets. International projects initiated under Dr. Wright’s leadership include the distribution of Aloe-Vera gel into Japan for production of various consumer products, and the introduction of Microcapsule Engineering Epoxy System used in the repair and waterproofing of dams, pipelines, and water treatment plants.
Over the years, Dr. Wright has advised both small and major organisations on issues involving start-up, to bankruptcy. Some of the firms to which Dr. Wright has served as advisor, legal consultant, and general council include the Bay Area Black Chamber of Commerce, Florida Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Pan American Trading Co. of Japan, Tescon, Inc. of Japan, USA Tax Service, Inc., Lake Chabot Golf Course, and The Brick Inc., location for the Northern Exposure television series. As such, Dr. Wright has been a litigator involved in a wide range of issues within the global context.
In addition to his many advisory positions, Dr. Wright has been Professor of Global Business Law in the Graduate School of Business at Florida A&M University since August, 2000.
Richard Wright’s past and present civic involvement includes the Tallahassee Regional Airport Advisory Committee, Alameda County Bar Association, Marin County Grand Jury, Rotary International, and the Commonwealth Club. In addition he has served on several Boards of Directors and has advised numerous for-profit and not-for-profit entities.
